SAN DIEGO - San Diego State, in conjunction with the Mountain West, has announced the women's basketball conference schedule for the 2019-20 season.

The conference format will remain the same with each team playing eight of the other 10 teams twice and playing two opponents once with games on Wednesdays and Saturdays. This season, the Aztecs will not play San Jose State at home and will not travel to play at Air Force. This is the seventh season the conference has been organized in this layout.

The Mountain West Tournament remains in Las Vegas at UNLV's Thomas & Mack Center, but will be played a week earlier than usual (March 1-4), which pushes up the start of the conference season.
Each Mountain West school will play two conference games in the first week of December. The Aztecs kick off the conference slate December 4 when they host Colorado State, who they beat in their only meeting last season. Their other December MW game will be December 7 at San Jose State.

The Aztecs will resume conference play in 2020 beginning with games at Fresno State (Jan. 1) and a home match-up with Utah State (Jan. 4). SDSU split the season series with both schools last season.

The following week, SDSU hosts Wyoming (Jan. 8), who knocked them off in OT in the Mountain West Tournament semifinals and then heads to Boise State (Jan. 11), the reigning conference champion.

The Aztecs will host Fresno State January 15 before hitting the road for games at Nevada (Jan. 18) and Wyoming (Jan. 22).

SDSU will wrap up January with a pair of home games against UNLV (Jan. 25) and New Mexico (Jan. 29).

They will begin February with a game at Utah State (Feb. 1) before having their first bye of the year. They return home to host Air Force February 8, head to New Mexico (Feb. 12) and then host Boise State (Feb. 15).

After their second bye of the year, SDSU will head to UNLV (Feb. 22) and Colorado State (Feb. 24) before wrapping up the regular season with a home game against Nevada (Feb. 27).

The Aztecs advanced to the semifinals of the Mountain West Tournament last season after upsetting the No. 2 seed New Mexico in the quarterfinals, the furthest they have made it under head coach Stacie Terry, who will be entering her seventh year.

SDSU returns four starters from a year ago, including their leading scorer Sophia Ramos and leading rebounder Mallory Adams, both of which were Mountain West All-Freshman Team honorees.

The non-conference schedule will be released later this summer.

Season tickets for the 2019-20 season are now on sale for $60 ($30 for senior citizens of military members).
