Storylines
-  The Aztecs wrap up their regular season this Saturday when they host crosstown foe No. 14 UC San Diego at 1:00 p.m. for the Harper Cup.
- The Aztecs lost their lone game last week, falling to No. 8 Pacific 12-7. SDSU fell behind 5-0 early and was unable to recover. Hannah Carrillo and Karli Canale paced the Aztecs with two goals each.
- SDSU finished conference play with a 5-2 record, tied with LMU for second place. Because of the Aztecs 9-7 win over the Lions on March 22, they will be the No. 2 seed at next week GCC Tournament and play the No. 7 seed Santa Clara. SDSU beat the Broncos 4-1 on March 28.
- The Aztecs will honor their three seniors before the game (Mary Myers, Maura Cantoni and Hannah Carrillo). Myers is in her second year at SDSU and has scored 13 goals, dished out 13 assists and recorded 34 steals this year. Cantoni leads the GCC in saves and has recorded at least 200 saves the last two years. Carrillo has 125 goals and 99 assists in her career. This year, she has 38 goals and a team-high 36 assists, the fifth most points in the GCC.
-  The Aztecs have won seven of their last nine games.
- Emily Bennett leads the GCC with 68 steals, 25 more than any other player. Fellow Aztec Lucia Carballo is in second with 43 takeaways.
- The Aztecs are 14-6 when they score seven or more goals.
- The Aztecs have had five games decided by one goal, going 2-3 in those contests.
- SDSU is 6-11 against ranked opponents.
- This will be the 18th annual Harper Cup named in honor of UC San Diego men's water polo coach Denny Harper, who played at San Diego State and received his undergraduate degree from the school in 1978. He established the SDSU women's water polo club team and went on to coach the UC San Diego women's team to five collegiate national championships from 1985-99. The Aztecs won the first 12 matchups, but UC San Diego has won four of the last five Harper Cup meetings. Overall, the Aztecs are 44-12 against the Tritons.
- After this week, the Aztecs will head to Fresno, Calif. for the GCC Championships April 26-28. SDSU will be the No. 2 seed and play for a chance to earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
