Aztecs in Fresno for Final Road Game

Need to Know
• The Aztecs are playing at Fresno State Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. PT. This will be their final road game of the season.
• The game will be streamed on the Mountain West Network. Additionally, here will also be an audio-only broadcast with Chris Ello (12th season) on the call.
• Following their game in Fresno, the Aztecs will return home to host Nevada Thursday at 5:30 p.m. for their final game of the regular season. They will honor their three seniors prior to the game: Arantxa Gómez Ferrer, Loli Gomez and Monica Merkovsky.
• The Aztecs lost their fifth game in a row Saturday falling at San Jose State 84-76.
• The Aztecs allowed the Spartans to hit 14 three-pointers, including seven from Analyss Benally, who finished with 31 points.
• In their first meeting with the Bulldogs, the Aztecs lost 87-81. SDSU trailed by 10 points early in the fourth quarter and rallied to tie the game with three minutes left, but the Bulldogs responded with a 6-0 run to hold on for the win.
• Freshman Mallory Adams had 16 points and a career-high 15 rebounds against the Spartans Saturday. She became the first Aztec to collect 15 rebounds in a game since McKynzie Fort did it last season, also against SJSU (2-24-18).
• For Adams, it was her 14th game with 10 or more rebounds and her ninth double-double. She has now scored 10 or more points in 10 of her last 12 games, averaging 14.2 points over that span.
• Adams is the only true freshman in the nation to average at least 13 points and 9.7 rebounds per game in conference play.
• Sophia Ramos is the only true freshman in the nation to average 13.0 points, 4.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game.
• Sophomore Najé Murray hit four three-pointers Saturday and now has 67 three-pointers on the year, the fourth most threes in a season in school history. She passed Carmelia Bloodsaw (65, 1991) and former teammate Lexy Thorderson (66, 2017) Saturday. The school record is 77 held by Jamey Cox and Courtney Clements.
• SDSU leads the conference in made free throws. Freshman Mallory Adams is second in the MW in free throws made and third in attempts.
• The Aztecs are currently in eighth place in the Mountain West standings. Their remaining games are against San José State (10th), Fresno State (4th) and Nevada (7th).

Noting the San Jose State Game (L, 76-84, 3-2-19)
•  Analyss Benally's seven three-pointers and 31 points are the most an opposing player has scored against the Aztecs this season.
•  SJSU's Danae Marquez dished out 15 assists on Saturday, the most an opponent has recorded against the Aztecs this season.
•  The Aztecs are now 1-15 when their opponent shoots 40 percent or better from the field.
•  SDSU had a season-best 49 rebounds.
•  The Aztecs attempted 71 field goals, trying a season-high (CSUN, 12-9-18).

Scouting the Bulldogs
•  Fresno State is 18-9 overall and 11-5 in the Mountain West (fourth place)
•  They are 11-3 at home but scored just 41 points in their last home game, a 57-41 loss to Nevada.
•  The Bulldogs lead the conference and are third in the nation in free throw percentage (78.3)
•  They are second the MW in steals and steals per game.
•  Candice White is leading the conference with 18.4 points per game. She shoots 46.9 percent from the field.
•  Head Coach Jamie White (5th year) has led the Bulldogs to three postseason appearances and two 20-win seasons in her four years at Fresno State.
