San Diego State Returns Home to Play UNLV in Weekend Series
San Diego State returns home to America's Finest City this weekend to welcome UNLV in a three-game series. The Aztecs (15-16, 3-3 MW) and Rebels (22-7, 3-2 MW) are scheduled to play at 6 p.m. PT Friday, 6 p.m. PT Saturday and noon PT Sunday.

SDSU is coming off a 2-1 series loss at Boise State, winning the second game of a Friday doubleheader by a 5-2 score.

San Diego State, which is hitting .255 as a team, has three players batting over .300 in Taylor Adams (.373, 3 HR, 17 RBI, 12 R), Molly Sturdivant (.308, 7 RBI, 8 R, 6 2B) and Maddi Ayers (.304). Adams has been particularly strong in MW play, hitting .556 (10-for-18) with three homers, eight RBIs and four runs in just six games. Kiera Wright (.295) leads the Aztecs with 21 runs and 15 stolen bases in 15 chances.

Marissa Moreno continues to lead the Aztec pitching staff in most categories, including ERA (4.35), wins (7), appearances (21, tied), complete games (4), shutouts (2), saves (2), innings pitched (72.1), strikeouts (70) and opponent average (.254). Additionally, Moreno ranks in a tie for first in the MW in appearances, tied for second in saves, third in strikeouts, fourth in innings pitched, and tied for eighth in wins and games started (11), despite missing eight games with an injury.

Alicia Garcia (5-5, 4.57 ERA, 56.2 IP) and MJ James (3-6, 5.41 ERA, 66.0 IP) have also logged important innings in the circle for SDSU.
