COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Aztec pole vaulter Bonnie Draxler was selected as the Mountain West Indoor Student-Athlete of the Year by the league's head coaches.
Draxler finished second at the NCAA Indoor championships after clearing 4.56 meters (14 feet, 11 ½ inches), the best mark of her career. The 4.56m mark also broke her own Mountain West and school record and is the eighth best mark in NCAA Indoor history.
This is the second consecutive year the Aztecs have won the Mountain West Indoor Student-Athlete of the Year award (Ashley Henderson).
