AUSTIN – Morganne McKennan, Klara Thormalm and Courtney Vincent of the San Diego State swimming and diving team are set to compete at the NCAA Championships this week at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center on the campus of the University of Texas.
Both McKennan and Thormalm will compete in the 100 breast and 200 breast, while Vincent will compete in the 100 fly at the national meet for the second consecutive year. Thormalm will also compete in the 50 free.
The trio played a key role in SDSU winning its fourth Mountain West Championship last month. Vincent broke her own school record in the 100 fly, setting a mark of 52.04 at the 2019 MW Championships. McKennan and Thormalm both broke the previous conference record in the 100 breast, with McKennan just edging out Thormalm for the individual title after clocking in at 59.50 in comparison to Thormalm's 59.52.
The preliminary rounds will be live streamed by the University of Texas. The finals will be broadcast on ESPN 3 or the WatchESPN app for Thursday and on ESPNU on Friday and Saturday. Links to follow along with live results are available on GoAztecs.com.
