COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Seven members of the Aztec track and field team were named to the Mountain West all-conference team, following their performance in the Indoor Championships this past weekend.

Bonnie Draxler (1st, pole vault), Asia Smith (2nd, pentathlon) and Jalyn Harris (2nd, 400m) were recognized for their individual performances and the 4x400m relay team of Kasey Ebb, Lisa-Anne Barrow, Maya Brosch and Sakura Roberson were honored after taking first place.

Draxler (Wrightstown, Wisc.) cleared 14-2.50 (4.33m), a new Mountain West Championship meet record, to become the first athlete (male or female) to win the MW indoor pole vault title four times. Including outdoor accolades, this is Draxler's seventh time making the all-conference team in her career. Draxler will be representing SDSU at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Birmingham, Ala. March 9.

Asia Smith (Escondido, Calif.) earned a second place finish in the pentathlon with 3,916 points, the third most in school history. She set new personal bests in four of the five events, finished in the top three in three events and cleared 1.70m in the high jump, which tied for the third best jump in school history.

Jalyn Harris (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.) finished in second place in the 400m dash in both the prelims and finals. After running a 54.97 in the prelims, she finished in 54.65 in Saturday's finals, just 0.21 seconds off the leader. This is Harris' second year earning a second place finish in the 400m at the MW Indoor Championships and her third all-conference honor in indoor (2018; 400 & 4x400m relay) and fifth overall (2018; 400 & 4x400m relay).

The relay squad of Kasey Ebb, Lisa-Anne Barrow, Maya Brosch and Sakura Roberson set a new school record with a time of 3:39.52 and finished in first place. They beat the previous school record set two years ago by 0.64 seconds. The relay team consisted of a freshman (Ebb), two sophomores (Brosch & Roberson) and a senior (Barrow). For Barrow, this was her second indoor all-conference selection (2018; long jump) and her fifth overall (2018; 200m, 400m & 4x400m relay).
