CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. -- San Diego State softball's Thursday night game against Army West Point has been canceled due to rain and inclement weather in the Palm Springs area. The rest of the schedule for the 31-team Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic will be announced Friday morning.
 
The Aztecs (6-4) were scheduled to play Army West Point at 6 p.m. PT at the Big League Dreams facility in Cathedral City, Calif., but the Black Knights' game against UC Santa Barbara was postponed around 5:30 p.m. PT tied at 0-0 after four innings. With rainy weather expected throughout the night, the decision was made to move onto Friday, where games are not expected to resume until at least 11 a.m. PT.
 
Besides Army West Point, SDSU was also scheduled to play No. 16/20 Oklahoma State (10 a.m. PT) and (rv/rv) Nebraska (12:30 p.m. PT) on Friday, No. 25/23 Texas Tech at 8 p.m. PT Saturday, and Cal Poly at 11:30 a.m. PT Sunday.
