Storylines
-  No. 25 San Diego State (3-4) will be competing in the Barbara Kalbus Invitational this weekend hosted by UC Irvine. The Aztecs will play in four games beginning with a Friday matchup with No. 1 USC at 10:00 a.m. SDSU will then play either No. 8 Arizona State or No. 9 UC Santa Barbara Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. They will play again Saturday afternoon (time and opponent TBD) and wrap up the tournament Sunday morning.
 
- There will not be a live stream of the tournament, but all games played at the UC Irvine Aquatic Center will have live scoring. Last season the Aztecs went 0-4 at the Barbara Kalbus Invitational, with all four losses coming to top 20 teams.
 
-  SDSU will begin the tournament against perennial powerhouse USC. The Aztecs are 9-39 all-time against the Trojans with their last win coming in 1998.
 
- The Aztecs hosted the University of Toronto for an exhibition game on February 14 and earned an 11-3 victory. Playing in the rain, the Aztecs allowed the opening goal then reeled off eight unanswered goals. Sophomore Lindsy Peterson led the Aztecs with three goals. Karli Canale had two and senior captain Hannah Carrillo had one with two assists.
 
-  In their last regular season action, the Aztecs went 2-2 and took 13th place in the competitive Triton Invitational. In the first day they lost to No. 9 Arizona State (7-12) and No. 21 CSUN (3-7) and then won two games the following day over Pomona-Pizter (6-5 in OT) and Cal State East Bay (10-3).
 
- SDSU held Cal State East Bay to a season-best three goals. Goalkeeper Maura Cantoni collected 10 saves, her second straight game with 10 or more saves.
 
- In their win vs. Cal State East Bay, the Aztecs had a season-high seven assists.
 
- Just six of the Aztecs' 52 goals have come in the fourth quarter
 
- Senior Hannah Carrillo leads the team in goals (10) and assists (8).
 
- Sophomore Emily Bennett leads the team in steals (22) and ejections drawn (16) and is second in goals (7) and assists (5).
 
- Goalkeeper Maura Cantoni has played all but nine minutes this season and has collected 57 saves.
 
- Karli Canale has scored five goals in only nine attempts.
 
- Following this tournament, the Aztecs will have a stretch of five home games in four days beginning with a non-conference game against Villanova March 6, which will be followed by the Aztec Invitational March 8-9.
 
- San Diego State has had at least one all-Golden Coast first-team member in each of the five years of the league's existence.
