  • Since Jan. 26, 2019, only seven teams in the nation have won more games than San Diego State's five (that list includes No. 1 Tennessee and No. 2 Duke).
  • In addition to winning five of its last six games, the Aztecs are also 6-2 since Jan. 15, with a scoring margin of +7.8 during that span (that ranks third in the Mountain West during that span).
  • San Diego State carries an 11-game homecourt win streak against Mountain West Conference opponents into the game. The streak is the longest in the Mountain West and tied for the 11th longest among all Division I schools (see chart to the right).
  • During the 11-game conference home streak, the Aztecs have outscored the opposition by 198 points, shooting 50.1 percent from the field and 39.9 percent from three-point range (see chart below).
  • San Diego State and Boise State are meeting for the 19th time, with the Aztecs owning an 11-7 series advantage. Earlier this season, the Broncos claimed an 88-64 victory in Boise on Jan. 5 in the league opener.
  • The last five times San Diego State has faced a conference opponent it lost its previous meeting to, the Aztecs have won the game.
  • The Aztecs claimed their fifth victory in six outings (four of those coming by double figures) with a 71-60 decision at Colorado State on Tuesday.
  • Senior guard Devin Watson scored a game-high 21 points on the strength 5-of-7 shooting from beyond the arc and sophomore forward Jalen McDaniels posted his seventh double-double in the last 10 games with 18 points and 12 rebounds.
  • Since Dec. 29, 2018 (which includes 13 games), McDaniels is averaging 19.8 points, 9.9 rebounds and 2.0 assists, while shooting 53.6 percent from the field. He is the one of only four players in the nation that is averaging 19-9.5-2 and is shooting at least 50 percent from the field during that time frame.
  • As if that was not imposing enough, McDaniels has now connected on 10 of his last 20 attempts from three-point range (50.0 percent).  He has made a trey in a career-high six straight games.
