Need to Know
• The Aztecs, riding a four game win streak, play at first place Boise State Saturday at 2:00 p.m. MT
• The game will be streamed on the Mountain West Network. Additionally, there will be an audio-only broadcast with Chris Ello (12th season) on the call.
• The Aztecs are coming off a 54-45 win over Colorado State. Freshman Mallory Adams had 17 points and 13 rebounds and SDSU held the Rams to 28 percent shooting from the field.
• SDSU's four game win streak is their longest since February 2016 when they won five in a row.
• During their four-game win streak, the Aztecs are holding opponents to 32.1 percent shooting from the field and 24.3 percent from three.
• SDSU is shooting 44.3 percent from three-point territory during their win streak. Over the last four games Sophia Ramos is 9-for-17 (.529) from three and her freshman counterpart, Mallory Adams, is 7-for-12 (.583).
• Mallory Adams was recently named a Star of the Month for January by the San Diego Sports Association. In seven January games, Adams had three double-doubles and 10-plus rebounds five times.
• Adams is averaging 9.0 rebounds per game, the most for an Aztec since Mary Apiafi the in 1999-2000 season (9.1).
• Sophia Ramos leads all freshmen in the Mountain West in points, assists, field goal percentage and minutes.
• Ramos is the only true freshman in the nation to average 14 points, 4.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game.
• Sophomore Najé Murray has moved into the top ten in school history for career three-pointers and three-point attempts. Entering the weekend, she is 109-324 (.336), which would rank her at No. 7 for three-point makes and attempts. At her current rate of 2.5 made threes per game, Murray has a chance to break the SDSU all-time record for made three-pointers in a season.
• The Aztecs are in sixth place in the Mountain West. They began last week tied for tenth place. The top five teams receive a first round bye in the Mountain West Tournament.
 
Noting the Colorado State Game (W, 54-45, 2-13-19)
•  The Aztecs held the Rams to seven first quarter points, the lowest they have held an opponent in the opening quarter this year. They also limited CSU to six points in the third quarter.
• The Aztecs have held their last three opponents under 60 points and during their four game win streak opponents are shooting just 32 percent from the field.
•  SDSU is 9-1 when holding their opponents to under 40 percent shooting.
•  SDSU held the Rams to 28 percent shooting. The second lowest percentage they have held an opponent to (Incarnate Word, 1-18-18).
•  The Aztecs are 10-1 when leading with 5:00 minutes remaining.
•  This was just the second game the Aztecs have won when trailing at halftime (10-2).
•  SDSU jumped up the sixth place in the Mountain West standings. They began last week tied for tenth.
•  Mallory Adams finished with 17 points and 13 rebounds, which tied a career-high. It was her 12th game with 10 or more rebounds and her eighth double-double. She has five double-doubles in 11 conference games.
 
Scouting the Broncos
•  Boise State is 20-3 overall and are in first place in the Mountain West with an 11-1 record.
•  Their lone conference loss was at Wyoming (52-64).
•  They have won five in a row and 15 of their last 16.
•  They are 11-1 at home.
•  They are second in the conference in scoring (75.7), field goal percentage (.453) and three-point percentage (.362).
•  They lead the conference with 16.8 assists per game and are second in assist/turnover ratio.
•  The make 8.2 three-pointers a game, tops in the conference.
•  Mollie Mounsey leads the MW in three-pointers attempted and is second in threes made. She played a 37.7 minutes per game.
•  Head Coach Gordy Presnell (14th season) has over 600 career wins and over 200 at Boise State.
 
All-Time Series vs. the Broncos
•  San Diego State is 8-7 all-time vs. Boise State.
•  The Aztecs are 2-4 against the Broncos in Boise.
•  The Broncos have won three in a row and six of the last seven.
•  The first meeting was December 20, 2005, a 54-51 Aztec win at home. This was the only time the two programs met prior to being Mountain West foes.
