SAN DIEGO – Coming off three straight 7-0 wins, the Aztec women's tennis team is set to host Long Beach State this Friday, Feb. 1, with first serve at 2 p.m. San Diego State was also scheduled to host California on Saturday, Feb. 2, but the dual has been rescheduled due to rain in the forecast.
Long Beach State travels to America's Finest City with one win under its belt this season as the Beach went 5-2 over UC Riverside last Saturday, just a day before the Aztecs took down the Highlanders, 7-0, in San Diego. The Aztecs faced the Beach in Long Beach last April, where the Scarlet and Black fell 4-2 to the home team.
SDSU enters Friday's dual with confidence following back-to-back 7-0 wins over UCSD and UC Riverside last weekend to tally a 3-0 record on the season. Due to heavy rain forecasted in the San Diego area on Saturday, the Aztecs' dual against the California Golden Bears has been rescheduled for Friday, Feb. 15, at 2 p.m. That match will still be played at the Aztec Tennis Center.
Admission for Friday's match is free at the Aztec Tennis Center. Results will be available following the match on www.GoAztecs.com. Parking is available in Parking Structure (PS) 7, located directly underneath the SDSU Sports Deck. There are three ways to pay for parking:
- Purchase permit on-line ahead of time for $7/day. If you don't have an account, you can create one. Make sure you are logged in as a guest. Print permit and display on dash.
- Pay at the kiosk pay station on level two. You must enter your license plate number or the last seven digits of your VIN before the transaction is complete. $3/hr for 1-4 hours or $15 for 5-10 hours. If you pay by credit card instead of cash, the kiosk can send you a reminder text for $.0.25 to extend your time. No need to display permit on dash.
- PayByPhone. $3/hr for 1-4 hours or $15 for 5-10 hours plus $0.35 per transaction fee. Download the PayByPhone app or set up an account on the PayByPhone website and follow the instructions. Location code for PS7 is 28507. No need to display permit on dash.
If you pay cash, no change will be given.
