* San Diego State ventures back to altitude for the second consecutive weekend as the Aztecs play at Air Force on Saturday afternoon.
* This will mark the 80th all-time meeting between the schools, with the Aztecs owning a 56-23 series advantage.
* SDSU is 20-16 all-time playing at Air Force although its 6-3 record at the Academy since the 2008-09 campaign is the second best visiting mark nationally.
* Overall, the Aztecs have won the last three encounters between the teams and are 9-1 in the last 10 and 17-3 in the last 20 encounters.
* San Diego State is 18-7 in its last 25 games - regardless of location - dating back to last season.
* San Diego State is 16-5 in its last 21 contests against teams that were not ranked in the AP Top 25 at game time.
* Sophomore forward Jalen McDaniels is coming off the most productive threegame stretch of his career. In his last three outings, McDaniels is averaging 18.7 points, 10.0 rebounds with four assists and five steals. In addition, he has connected on 23-of-40 field goal attempts (57.5 percent), including 22-of-35 inside the arc 62.9 percent).
* McDaniels is 11-of-17 from the field (64.7 percent) in 23 post-up possessions. His 1.217 points per possession in those situations is 19th nationally among all Division I players with at least 20 possessions.
* On Tuesday, senior guard Devin Watson surpassed the 1,500-point plateau for his career and now has 1,508 points (869 at USF and 639 at SDSU) in his career. He is one of only 42 active Division players who has scored at least 1,500 points and of those only eight have 400 assists (Watson has 429 assists).
* Watson is one of only eight players in the nation to average at least 15 points, 5 assists and 2.5 three-point field goals per game this season. He has scored or assisted on 40.5 percent of San Diego State's field goals this season and averages an astonishing 1.500 points per possession and shoots 50.0 percent (22-of-44 3FGs) from the field on his 44 catch-and-shoot possessions this season. The 1.500 ppp ranks 19th nationally among all players with at least 40 such possessions.
* Sophomore guard Jordan Schakel has 136 points this season (in 15 games), 30 points more than he accumulated during his entire freshman season (33 games). Schakel, who is averaging 9.1 points and 4.5 rebounds has connected on 28-of-63 three-point field goal attempts this season (44.4 percent). He is averaging 1.277 points per all possessions which ranks fourth nationally among
all players with at least 100 possessions.
