SAN DIEGO – The San Diego State swimming and diving team capped the 2018 calendar year with a pair of wins over Oregon State (134-120) and Incarnate Word (166-73) on Monday morning at the Aztec Aquaplex. With the pair of wins, SDSU improves to 10-0 in dual meets this season and 34-1 in their last 35 dual meets dating back to the start of the 2015-16 season. 
The Aztecs began the morning with a first-place finish in the 200 medley relay as Elli Ferrin, Klara Thormalm, Courtney Vincent and Alma Thormalm collectively posted a time of 1:45.03. SDSU followed that effort with another first-place finish, with McKenna Meyer recording a 10:29.45 in the 1000 free -- good for a 12.6-second margin over second-place finisher Hannah Rowley from Incarnate Word. 

After Oregon State claimed both the top spots in both the 200 free and 100 back, SDSU logged three of the next four top times. In back-to-back events, Alma Thormalm won both the 50 free (23.91) and 100 free (52.42), while Klara Thormalm reeled in the top spot in the 100 breast, touching the wall at 1:04.67. 

SDSU claimed each of the top four spots in both the 50 free and 100 free, as Cathy Cooper (24.20), Lizzie Menzmer (24.42), and Sammy Geyer (24.48) finished second, third, and fourth, respectively, in the 50 free, and Peyton Wilson (53.20), Cooper (53.73) and Anna Stahlak (53.83) claimed the second through fourth spots in the 100 free.

Klara Thormalm collected her second first-place finish of the day in the 200 breast, recording a time of 2:19.08. 

Mia Ryan and Kassidy Henson finished first and second, respectively, in the 500 free, recording times of 5:11.99 and 5:17.17. 

In exhibition action, Courtney Vincent recorded the fastest time in the 100 fly at 56.15, while McKenna Meyer logged the day's fastest 200 IM time of 2:07.78. SDSU's 200 free relay team of Alma Thormalm, Klara Thormalm, Cooper, and Geyer posted the morning's fastest 200 free relay time of 1:35.38.

NOTES
- With the win over Oregon State, SDSU extends its dual-meet winning streak against the Beavers to six. 
- SDSU is 10-0 in dual meets this season and 34-1 over its last 35 dual meets.
