SAN DIEGO – The San Diego State football team has announced the addition of Brionne Penny (Norwalk, Calif./Narbonne HS) to its 2019 early signing class on Thursday.

A native of Norwalk, Calif., Brionne Penny was recruited as an athlete and is the younger brother of former Aztec running back Rashaad Penny, who was a consensus All-American in 2017 and finished fifth in the voting for the Heisman Trophy.

Brionne Penny played his senior season at Narbonne High School after completing his sophomore and junior campaigns at Norwalk High. Over his career, the 6-3, 190-pound prospect totaled 29 touchdowns in 28 games, according to MaxPreps, including 24 rushing scores, two kick return touchdowns, and one apiece via receiving, punt return and interception.

With his addition, Brionne Penny gives SDSU 14 signees during the early signing period, including nine from the state of California.

San Diego State (7-6) concluded the 2018 campaign with its ninth straight bowl appearance on Wednesday, falling to Ohio in the DXL Frisco Bowl in Frisco, Texas.
