FRISCO, Texas – The San Diego State football team completed its first day of activities in conjunction with the DXL Frisco Bowl in Frisco, Texas, on Saturday.
 
After departing San Diego on their chartered flight in mid-morning, the Aztecs arrived at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport shortly before 3 p.m. CT and were greeted in the Lone Star State by crystal blue skies with temperatures hovering near 60 degrees.
 
The Scarlet and Black soon boarded a convoy of busses for the short ride through the Metroplex to the OMNI Frisco Hotel, where the team will be headquartered for the next five days.
 
After securing luggage and checking into their rooms, the Aztecs made their way to The Colony, Texas, for an evening of tacos and team camaraderie at the Top Golf complex, which features heated hitting terraces while catering to golfers of all skill levels.
 
SDSU will get down to business on Sunday when it will conduct its first practice of the week at the nearby Toyota Stadium practice fields between 10 a.m. and noon CT.
 
Following tomorrow's preparations, the Aztecs are scheduled to attend the Dallas Mavericks-Sacramento Kings basketball game, set for 6 p.m. CT at American Airlines Arena.
 
San Diego State (7-5), which is making its school-record ninth straight bowl appearance, will square off against the Ohio Bobcats (8-4) on Wednesday, Dec. 19, beginning at 7 p.m. CT/5 p.m. PT.
