Need to Know
• The Aztecs are hosting the University of Arizona (5-1) on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. These two teams met last year in Tucson with the Aztecs earning a 78-67 win.
• The game will be streamed on the Mountain West Network with Chris Ello (12th season) calling the action.
•  The Aztecs are coming off a 72-71 loss at San Diego. It was a back and forth game, but the Aztecs led for the entire fourth quarter except for the final four seconds after the Toreros' Myah Pace made a pair of free throws.
• Freshman Mallory Adams has had 10 or more rebounds in each of her last three games. The last Aztec to do that was SDSU legend and current pro Chelsea Hopkins, who did it in the 2011-12 season.
• Freshman Sophia Ramos scored a career-high 24 points at USD on Wednesday. This is the highest point total for an Aztec this season.
Najé Murray had a career-high six steals at San Diego earlier this week. She currently leads the Mountain West in steals and is second in three-pointers made.
• Wednesday's game at San Diego was the first time the Aztecs were outrebounded this season.
• The Aztecs have had four players score in double figures in four of their last five games.
• Téa Adams, the Aztecs' leading scorer entering the USD game, left in the first quarter with an injury to her right foot.
• The Aztecs are in the top 30 in the nation in both free throws made and attempted, but 197th in free throw percentage (66.7%).
• The Aztecs set program-highs for total attendance and average attendance last season and are on pace to break that again after averaging 1,391 fans per game so far this season.

Noting the USD Game (71-72 11-28-18)
• Mallory Adams has had 10 or more rebounds in each of her last three games. The last Aztec to do that was SDSU legend and current pro Chelsea Hopkins, who did it in the 2011-12 season.
• Sophia Ramos' 24 points were the most an Aztec has had in a game this season.
Najé Murray had six of the Aztecs' eight steals, this was a career-high for her.
• This was the second year in a row the SDSU-USD game came down to the final seconds and the home team escaped with a one-point victory.
• This was the fourth time in the last five games that at least four Aztecs scored in double-digits.
• This was the first game the Aztecs have been outrebounded.

• The Toreros shot 40 percent from three-point land and had 21 assists, both were the season-highs for an Aztec opponent.
 
Scouting the Wildcats
•  Arizona is 5-1 on the year. Their lone loss was against Loyola Marymount (64-66) on Nov. 13.
•  They are outscoring their opponents by average margin of 26.3 points.
•  This will be their first road game of the season.
•  Redshirt sophomore guard Aari McDonald is averaging 26.2 points per game, which is second in the nation.
•  McDonald is 46-54 from the free-throw line (85.2%). She is top five in the nation in free throws made and attempted.
•  Cate Reese is averaging 9.7 rebounds per game, third in the Pac-12.
•  Semaj Smith is averaging 1.8 blocks per game, tops in the Pac-12.
•  As a team, the Wildcats are allowing 51.7 points per game (17th in the nation) and opponents are shooting just 32.2 percent (20th).
•  Arizona is shooting 77.1 percent from the free throw line.
•  Head Coach Adia Barnes (3rd season) is a San Diego native and is Arizona's all-time leading scorer. Prior to coming to Arizona, she was an assistant coach at Washington where she worked with current Aztec assistant Kevin Morrison.
 
All-Time Series vs. the Wildcats
•  San Diego State is 14-4 all-time against Arizona.
•  The Aztecs are 7-2 vs. Arizona at home.
•  SDSU is also 7-2 in Tucson.
•  They have only played twice in the last 20 years, both were Aztec wins.
•  They faced off last year at Arizona and SDSU won 78-67 behind 26 points from McKynzie Fort, who earned Mountain West Player of the Week honors for her efforts.
•  SDSU won the first 12 meetings between the two schools.
•  The first meeting was January 25, 1980, a 66-65 SDSU win.
•  The Aztecs are 68-113 all-time against the Pac-12
•  Arizona is one of four current Pac-12 schools the Aztecs have a winning record against (Arizona State, California & Washington State)

•  She is averaging 8.0 rebounds per game, which is fourth in the conference.
•  She is tied for second in the MW in free throws made and third in free throws attempted.
•  She has committed just five turnovers in 204 minutes played, the best rate on the team.
•  Adams averaged a double-double last week and was the Aztecs' representative on the SDSU Thanksgiving Classic All-Tournament Team.         
Sophia Ramos
• Sophia Ramos scored a career-high 24 points at San Diego on Wednesday.
• Her 24 points and 10 made field goals were the most by an Aztec this season.
• She now leads the Aztecs in scoring with 14.4 points per game.
• Ramos leads the team with 32 assists (4.6 per game) and has a +1.7 assist to turnover ratio, the best on the team. She is fifth in the Mountain West in both categories.
•  She is shooting 50 percent from the floor, also the best on the team and tied for third in the conference.
•  She leads the team in minutes played (33.3 per game).
•  Despite being 5'9", she is second on the team in rebounds (5.0 per game).
 
Building a Perimeter
• The Aztecs are third in the conference in three-point field goal percentage (.337) and three-point field goal percentage defense (.276)
Najé Murray has made 20 of the Aztecs' 35 three-pointers, which is second in the conference.
• Murray is averaging 2.9 made three-pointers per game, which puts on her pace to break the Aztecs' single-season record of 77 set by Jamey Cox (2003) and Courtney Clements (2013).

• The Aztecs are second in the conference with 4.6 blocks per game.
• Zayn Dornstauder, the 6'3" Canadian who transferred from Ball State, is third in the MW in total blocks (12) and blocks per game (1.7).
