News & Notes
• The Aztecs will host TCU, BYU and California Baptist for the SDSU Thanksgiving Classic this weekend. The Aztecs face California Baptist Friday at 5:00 p.m. and they take on their old Mountain West foe, TCU, Saturday evening at 7:15 p.m.
• Chris Ello (12th season) will have the call courtside for both games. A link to the audio-only broadcast is located on the women's basketball schedule page on GoAztecs.com
• The Aztecs are have scored 80 points or more in their last two games and most recently beat Incarnate Word 81-38, their first 40 point win since the 2012-13 season.
• For the second game in a row, at least four Aztecs scored in double-digits. Téa Adams and Sophia Ramos had a game-high 13 points, Monique Terry had a career-high 12 and Najé Murray and Jayden Perez each had 11. The freshman Perez hadn't yet scored entering the game.
• The Aztecs scored 21 fast break points against Incarnate Word last Sunday, their most since scoring 23 at New Mexico on February 6, 2016.
• SDSU ranks in the top 100 nationally in ten team statistics. Their +5.5 rebound margin is their highest ranking stat, which is 42nd in the nation.
• The Aztecs' backcourt trio of Téa Adams, Najé Murray and Sophia Ramos are all averaging more than 31 minutes per game. This group is responsible for 59 percent of the Aztecs' points and 69 percent of their assists so far.
• The Aztecs set program-highs for total attendance and average attendance last season and are on pace to break that again after averaging 2,019 fans per game so far this season.
 
Scouting the Lancers
•  California Baptist is 1-3 on the year. Their lone win came on the road at Long Beach State, an 85-83 victory on November 9.
•  This is their first season as a Division I athletics program. They compete in the WAC.
•  Brittney Thomas is averaging a double-double and leads the team in scoring (16.5 ppg) and rebounding (11.8).
• They are allowing 81.2 points per game and opponents are shooting 48 percent from the field against them.
•  This is the first ever meeting between the two programs.
•  Head Coach Jarrod Olson is in his seventh year and entered the year with a 151-43 career record.
 
With a W
• The Aztecs will improve to 4-1 on the season.
• It will be the first time SDSU started a season 4-1 since Stacie Terry (6th season) took over as head coach. The last time the Aztecs began the year with a 4-1 record was the 2011-12 season.
• The Aztecs will improve to 3-0 at home.
• It will be Aztecs first three game win streak since starting last season 3-0.
 
Scouting the Horned Frogs
• TCU is 3-0 so far this season. They have wins over Duquesne (61-48), Mississippi Valley State (96-47) and SMU (65-63).
• This will be their first road games. They play BYU on Friday.
• They are sixth in the nation in blocks per game (7.7).
• They are 10th in the nation in assists per game (21.7) and 40th in assist to turnover ratio (1.23)
• Jordan Moore is averaging 17.0 points per game and is shooting a blistering 82.8 percent from the floor.
• Kianna Ray is averaging 7.0 assists per game, 14th best in the nation.
• Head coach Raegan Pebley (5th season) led the Frogs to postseason appearances in three of her first four years.
 
The All-Time Series with TCU
• The Aztecs are 6-13 all-time against TCU.
• This will be their first meeting since TCU left the Mountain West for the Big 12 following the 2011-12 season.
• SDSU is 5-4 against TCU at home.
• Their first meeting was in 1998, an 83-68 TCU win in Fort Worth, Texas.

Give Me Some Mo!
• Junior forward Monique Terry (San Antonio, Texas) had a career day against her hometown school last Sunday. She was a perfect 5-for-5 from the field and scored a career-high 12 points. • Terry, who missed the majority of last season with an injury, had never hit a three-pointer in her collegiate career. Yet she knocked two of them in the Aztecs' big win over Incarnate Word.
 
Cleaning the Glass
• The Aztecs have outrebounded their opponents in every game so far this season and have a +5.5 rebound margin on the year, which ranks 42nd in the nation.
• It has been a collective effort as five Aztecs are averaging between four and seven boards per game.
• Freshman Mallory Adams leads the team with 6.3 rebounds per game and has a team-high eight offensive boards.
 
Master Thief
• Sophomore Najé Murray has led the Aztecs in steals in every game this season.
• She has two games with four steals, which matches her career single game high.
• She currently ranks 45th in the nation with 11 steals and 88th in steals per game (2.8).
