  • Goalkeeper Max Watkin started both matches last week, his first starts of the season. He posted a shutout against Oregon State and allowed just two goals of the 17 shots he faced over the two matches.
  • The Aztecs were issued five yellow cards in their last match vs. Washington, their season-high. Prior to that match, they had only been given more than two yellows once (UC Irvine).

  • The Aztecs won the Courtyard Marriott San Diego Central Aztec Soccer Classic earlier this season, the fifth time winning the tournament (2009, '11, '14, '16 & '18). Pablo Pelaez was named the Tournament's Most Outstanding Offensive Player and Keegan Kelly, Aleks Berkolds, Emil Kjellker and Miles Stray were named to the All-Tournament Team.
