Notes
- San Diego State will embark on its final road trip of the regular season this week, boarding a plane to The Silver State. The Aztecs will face Nevada Friday night at 6:30 p.m. PT before visiting UNLV for a Sunday afternoon contest at 1 p.m. PT. Both games will stream live on the Mountain West Network.

- SDSU heads on its road trip in search of a much-needed victory. The Aztecs are 0-2-1 in their last three games, but their last win occurred on the road, a 1-0 decision at San José State two weeks ago. San Diego State has played better on the road than at home this season, posting a 3-4-1 record compared to its 1-4-1 mark at SDSU Sports Deck.

- The Aztecs are in need of a victory after going 0-1-1 this past week at home. San Diego State could not hold a pair of one-goal leads vs. Utah State and eventually tied the Aggies, 2-2. Two days later, the Aztecs gave up a 52nd-minute goal to Boise State and the score remained the same as the clock hit 90:00.

- Mia Root found the scoring column for the first time this season in the outing vs. Utah State. The sophomore, who led the team with 10 goals a year ago, connected on a penalty kick in the 60th minute, which gave SDSU a 1-0 lead. Root has been slowed this season after recovering from offseason surgery, but enters this week's action ranked second on the team in shots (15) and shots on goal (7).

- Laura Fuentes scored her first collegiate goal vs. the Aggies. The freshman scored on a penalty kick in the 77th minute, putting the Aztecs ahead, 2-1. Utah State, however, found the equalizer less than three minutes later. A midfielder, Fuentes is tied for third on the team in shots (12) with classmate Florence Laroche and both have six shots on goal.

- San Diego State has had 10 different players score at least one goal this season with sophomore Phoebe Leitch and freshman Taylor Moorehead leading the way with two goals apiece. Moorehead is one of five freshmen to have scored this year, equaling SDSU's freshman total from 2017.

- The Aztecs created many opportunities to score vs. Boise State, but came away empty on each of their game-high 15 shots. On defense, however, San Diego State, despite allowing a second-half goal, kept the Broncos' offense in check, including the nation's leading scorer, Raimee Sherle. The junior has never scored in five career games vs. the Aztecs.

- San Diego State has good numbers against Mountain West competition of late. The Aztecs are 6-2-2 in their last 10 regular-season games and 8-2-2 in their last 12 outings (regular season, tournament).

- The Aztecs have played well historically in the month of October. Since the 2009 season, San Diego State has compiled a 54-11-8 record, good for a .795 winning percentage. More recently, SDSU has won at a .810 clip, posting a 38-7-5 record since 2012.

- San Diego State has played really good soccer in the state of Nevada over the last several seasons. Outside of winning the 2017 Mountain West championship at UNLV last season, the Aztecs have put together a record of 7-0-1 in the state dating to a 2-1 double-overtime win at UNLV on Oct. 28, 2011. Since head coach Mike Friesen took over the job ahead of the 2007 campaign, SDSU is 9-3-1 in games played in the state of Nevada.

- The Aztecs are 8-0 all-time vs. Nevada (3-0 in Reno) and 6-0 during the Mountain West era. San Diego State has scored at least two goals in every meeting and scored five goals on two different occasions. In eight games, SDSU has outscored the Wolf Pack, 27-5.

- San Diego State is 14-8-2 all-time vs. UNLV and is searching for its first series win since a 3-0 home triumph in 2015. SDSU is 0-1-2 in the last three match-ups, including last year's 1-0 loss in America's Finest City. The teams tied, 1-1, the last time they met in Las Vegas (2016 regular season), but the Aztecs hold a 6-4-1 advantage in Sin City.
