FROM THE FILM ROOM (through games of Sept. 22; all Film Room numbers provided by Pro Football Focus)
*  Redshirt freshman CB Darren Hall had only played 22 snaps in his NCAA career (only 1 in 2018) prior to the game vs Eastern Michigan but that didn't stop him from coming up with the game-winning INT in OT. Hall looked great in week 4 and logged 43 snaps, more than doubling his career total prior to the game. Hall allowed just 21 total receiving yards on 4 targets and had 3 defensive stops in the game. Hall had a NFL passer rating allowed of just 49.0 when targeted in coverage vs Eastern Michigan.
* Junior QB Ryan Agnew put together another solid outing vs Eastern Michigan. Agnew's NFL passer rating vs pressure of 135.4 was tied for 4th highest in the nation this past week. Agnew benefited greatly from the use of play action in week 4. Agnew's completion percentage with play action (66.7%) was 19.6% higher than when not using play action (47.1%). Agnew's NFL passer rating with play action: 136.1; Without play action: 65.8. Agnew currently has a higher overall grade this season (72.4) than Christian Chapman (68.6).
* Sophomore RB Chase Jasmin logged a career-high 31 offensive snaps vs. EMU. Jasmin had to earn nearly every one of his rushing yards vs Eastern Michigan. 82 of Jasmin's 96 rushing yards in week 4 were earned AFTER contact. Jasmin had 5 avoided tackles in the game and his longest run of the day went for 40 yards. Jasmin has yet to be targeted in the pass game.
* Junior LB Kyahva Tezino has been a stellar all-around performer for this defense. Tezino has 4+ defensive stops in every game played this year so far. His 22 defensive stops on the season are tied for 7th most in the nation. He has 3 more stops than any other LB in the MW. Tezino also has a team-leading 14 QB pressures (2 sacks, 3 QB hits, 9 hurries), 7 more than any other defender on the team and the most for a LB in the entire nation. Tezino has a pass rush percentage of 41.8% which is the 2nd highest rate among inside LBs in the FBS. Tezino has already been targeted more this year (12) than he was all of last year (11) and has allowed just 7 receptions to be caught in his coverage for a catch rate allowed of 58% which is the 2nd lowest catch rate allowed among MW LBs in 2018 entering week 5.
* San Diego State currently has the No. 1 run blocking offense in the MW. This offense has averaged 1.98 yards BEFORE contact per rush attempt in 2018. C/RG Keith Ismael has helped lead the way with his team leading 77.7 run blocking grade in 2018. SDSU's 168 rush attempts this season is 22nd most by a team in the nation entering week 5.
