Softball Announces Fall Schedule

SAN DIEGO -- San Diego State head coach Kathy Van Wyk has announced its fall schedule, highlighted by its annual Alumni Game on Saturday, Sept. 29. 

The Aztecs will play nine games over the course of the fall slate, including seven contests at SDSU Softball Stadium. All games at SDSU's stadium are free admission. 

The Alumni Game kicks off San Diego State's fall season on Sept. 29.

The Aztecs then play host to El Camino CC (5 p.m. PT on Friday, Oct. 5) and Long Beach State (noon PT on Saturday, Oct. 6) the following weekend.

On Friday, Oct. 12, SDSU welcomes Palomar CC for a 5 p.m. PT start. 

San Diego State then hosts UCLA and USD for a round-robin of games on Sunday, Oct. 14. The Aztecs will play the Bruins at noon PT and the Toreros at 5 p.m. PT. Sandwiched in between will be a 2:30 p.m. PT game with UCLA and USD.

Following a weekend off of competition, SDSU welcomes UC San Diego on Friday, Oct. 26 at 3 p.m..

San Diego State completes its fall slate with a pair of games on Saturday, Oct. 27 at Cal State Fullerton. The Aztecs first will meet the host Titans at 1 p.m. PT before taking on Mt. SAC at 3 p.m. PT.

SDSU is coming off a 20-31 season in 2018, including an 11-13 mark in MW play for sixth place. San Diego State won six of their final eight games, including two of the final three series. The Aztecs' official schedule for the 2019 season is expected to be announced in the coming months.
