San Diego State Cancels All Athletic Events Through Weekend

SAN DIEGO - - In the wake of Tuesday's national tragedy, San Diego State University executive director of athletics Rick Bay has announced that the Aztecs will not participate in any scheduled events through Sunday.

The cancellations include:

?Football at Ohio State on Saturday.

?Women's volleyball at the Buckeye Classic in Columbus, Ohio, Friday-Saturday.

?Women's golf at Dick McGuire Invitational in Albuquerque, Thursday-Saturday.

?Women's soccer vs. Cal State Fullerton Friday at the Sports Deck.

?Men's soccer vs. Hofstra Friday at the Sports Deck.

?Aztec Invitational cross country meet Saturday in Balboa Park.

?Women's soccer vs. Duke Sunday at the Sports Deck.

?Men's soccer vs. Albany Sunday at the Sports Deck.

It is uncertain which, if any, of the events will be rescheduled.

San Diego State will return to competition on Tuesday when the women's soccer team travels to UC Riverside and the volleyball team visits Loyola Marymount in Los Angeles.
