Bob Moosbrugger Promoted to Assistant Athletics Director
March 17, 2004 SAN DIEGO - San Diego State Athletics Director Mike Bohn has announced the promotion of Bob Moosbrugger from Assistant Director for the Aztec Athletic Foundation (AAF) to Assistant Athletics Director. As the newly appointed Assistant Athletics Director, Moosbrugger will keep much of his old responsibilities, but will now oversee the AAF, take on the annual campaign to raise money for Student-Athlete Scholarships and hopefully reach the AAF's $1.5 million dollar estimated goal for the scholarships. Moosbrugger began his career at Ball State University in Muncie, Ind., from August 1994 to May 1996, as a graduate assistant for the ticket office and marketing. He then took an assistant ticket manager position at Fresno State from June 1996 to January 1999. Moosbrugger was promoted to athletics ticket manager in 1999, and remained at Fresno State as manager until March 2000. His responsibilities included the direction of all ticket sales and operations for over 100 athletic and special events planned annually for the Bulldogs. Moosbrugger came to San Diego State in March 2000 to work as the Assistant Director of the AAF. He was involved in all operations of the Development Office, secured the AAF Golf Classic Hole Sponsorship and managed fiscal accounts for various areas in the AAF. Moosbrugger and his wife, Esther, have a nine-month-old son, Andrew. |
