2001 NCAA Tourney Ticket Applications Available March 20 March 2, 2000 San Diego - Ticket applications for the 2001 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament First/Second Round, to be hosted at San Diego State University's Cox Arena, will be available to the general public beginning Monday, March 20. The tournament will take place March 15 and 17, 2001 with eight teams coming to Cox Arena and vying for two spots in the Sweet 16. Ticket costs for the 2001 first/second round tournament games are $120 for the six game set at SDSU (limit of 10 tickets per order). The applications may be obtained and submitted at the Aztec Athletic Ticket Office at Gate G at Qualcomm Stadium. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday (phone 619-283-SDSU). Application forms may also be obtained either by mail or fax. Forms can be downloaded as of March 20 from SDSU's official athletic web site, as well, at www.goaztecs.com. Completed applications with credit card payment may then be faxed to the ticket office at (619) 283-8978. Applications will be accepted through April 28, 2000 with tickets distributed via a random drawing in May. By June 1, 2000 applicants will be notified whether they were successful in the random-selection process. Tickets will be mailed to successful applicants by January 31, 2001. Refunds will be mailed to unsuccessful applicants no later than June 1, 2000. |
