XC/T&F Academic All-Americans

AUSTIN, Texas - Ellison Grove of the San Diego State Track & Field team was named to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® Division I Cross Country/Track & Field Second Team. She becomes just the second member of SDSU Cross Country or Track & Field to ever earn this honor (Karoline Koehler (2008 & 2009).

Grove recently graduated with a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA as an International Security and Conflict Resolution major. She has school records in the 600 meter (1:31.48) and indoor 800 meter (2:09.67). She was named the San Diego State Student-Athlete of the Year for 2017-18 and spoke at commencement as the valedictorian of the College of Arts and Letters.

Grove was named to the Academic All-District® Team last month, which automatically placed her on the ballot for the All-America® Team.

Grove has been an Academic All-District selection twice (2015-16 & 2017-18). She also was a three-time Mountain West Scholar Athlete and was named to the 2016 USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.

28 of the 47 female student-athletes honored on this year's Division I Academic All-America® Women's Cross Country/Track & Field teams have a GPA of 4.0 or better.
