USTFCCCA All-Americans

NEW ORLEANS - All-America honors for the 2018 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field season were announced Monday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Ashley Henderson received First-Team All-American honors after finishing in sixth place in the 200 meter dash. She also was a Second-Team honoree in the 100 meter dash.

Henderson finishes her career as a five-time First-Team Outdoor USTFCCCA All-American in addition to three Second-Team Outdoor honors. In total, when combining the indoor seasons, Henderson is a 12-time All-American (nine-time First-Team).

Lisa-Anne Barrow was recognized by the USTFCCCA as an honorable mention selection in the 400 meter dash and the 4x100m and 4x400m relays.

Barrow's relay teammates were recognized as well. In the 4x100 meter relay, freshman Callista Fletcher, Simone Glenn and Rochene Smith had the ninth fastest time in school history (44.49).

In the 4x400m relay, the Aztecs' team of Barrow, Jalyn Harris, Lakin Hatcher and Tyra Lea finished in 18th (3:38.04).

Student-athletes earned First-Team All-America status by virtue of finishing among the top-eight of their events, including as members of a relay team, at the 2018 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships this past weekend in Eugene, Oregon. Second-Team All-America honors went to those student-athletes who finished between ninth and 16th place.

Those athletes who finished 17th through 24th were named USTFCCCA Honorable Mention, but are not to be called All-Americans.
