Google Cloud Academic All-District® Team
SAN DIEGO - Ellison Grove of the San Diego State Track & Field team was named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District® Team. Grove, who owns a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA, was one of ten student-athletes selected from District Eight, which includes all Division I schools from Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon Utah, Washington & Canada.
Grove, who recently graduated as an International Security and Conflict Resolution major, has school records in the 600 (1:31.48) and indoor 800 meter (2:09.67). She was named the San Diego State Student-Athlete of the Year for 2017-18 and spoke at commencement as the valedictorian of the College of Arts and Letters
This is the second time Grove has been an Academic All-District selection (2015-16). She also is a three-time Mountain West Scholar Athlete and was named to the 2016 USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.
The 2017-18 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Women's Track/Cross Country Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the playing field and in the classroom. First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot, with Google Cloud Academic All-America® teams announced in June.
