The San Diego State football team will play at least 10 games on national television during the 2018 season, the league announced today. The Aztecs will play five times on ESPN Networks (ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU or ESPN3) and five games on CBS Sports Network.
Additionally, 10 of the team's 12 regular-season contests will take place on Saturday with the lone exception being the already announced opener at Stanford on Friday, Aug. 31 and Friday, Oct. 12 against Air Force at SDCCU Stadium.
SDSU's five games on CBS Sports Network all have start times, including home contests against Arizona State on Sept. 15 (7:30 p.m. PT), Eastern Michigan on Sept. 22 (7:30 p.m. PT), Air Force on Friday, Oct. 12 (6 p.m. PT) and San José State on Oct. 20 (7:30 p.m. PT). San Diego State's Nov. 17 road game at Fresno State also will be on CBS Sports Network with a 7:30 p.m. PT start time.
The Aztecs' five games on ESPN Networks (ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU or ESPN3) - Oct. 6 at Boise State, Oct. 27 at Nevada, Nov. 3 at New Mexico, Nov. 10 vs. UNLV and Nov. 24 vs. Hawai'i - will start at a time to be determined (generally announced 12 days out).
The two contests that have yet to be decided for SDSU are non-conference games, including the opener at Stanford on Friday, Aug. 31 and the home opener vs. Sacramento State on Sept. 8.
Additional broadcasts by AT&T SportsNet and Stadium will be announced in the coming months.
The Aztecs finished 2017 with a 10-3 record, their school-record third consecutive season with at least 10 victories. SDSU is one of just seven schools in the nation to win at least 10 games in three consecutive seasons (also Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Wisconsin). San Diego State is scheduled to return seven starters on offense and seven on defense, along with its kicker and punter.
San Diego State is accepting new account deposits on 2018 season tickets through the Aztec Ticket Office, while current season-ticket holders can also renew their tickets for the 2018 campaign. Fans can purchase tickets through GoAztecs.com, over the phone by calling (619) 283-7378, or by visiting Qualcomm Stadium's Window E between 9 a.m. PT and 5 p.m. PT.
