SAN DIEGO - San Diego State earned the No. 3 seed at this week's Golden Coast Conference Championship, the league announced today. The annual tournament is set for Burns Aquatics Center on the campus of LMU and will take place Friday-Sunday, April 27-29.
The Aztecs will open quarterfinal action against sixth-seeded California Baptist on Friday at 9:15 a.m. PT. SDSU defeated the Lancers earlier this season at Aztec Aquaplex, 3-2, on April 5.
On SDSU's side of the bracket is No. 2-seed LMU and seventh-seeded Santa Clara (Friday at 11 a.m. PT). Win or lose on Friday, San Diego State will face one of those teams on Saturday. An Aztec win would move them into the semifinals at 12:45 p.m. PT. A loss to CBU would send SDSU to the 9:15 a.m. PT game on Saturday.
On the other side of the bracket is regular-season champion Pacific, which will face eighth-seeded Concordia on Friday at 2:30 p.m. PT, and No. 4 Azusa Pacific-No. 5 Fresno State (12:45 p.m. PT).
