Bryan Clay Invite Results | Beach Invite Results | Mt. SAC Results
The San Diego State Track & Field team competed in three different meets across Southern California on Friday.
Seven Aztecs were competing in the Bryan Clay Invite at Azusa Pacific College. Simone Glenn had a strong showing in the sprints, claiming second in the 200 and third in the 100 meter dash. She finished the 200 in 23.60 and set a personal best in the 100 finishing in 11.61.
Sakura Roberson ran the 800m in 2:08.37, the eighth best time in school history and a record for freshmen. It was Roberson's first time running the 800 in the outdoor season. Angela Wilson also set a PR in the 800 with a time of 2:11.86.
Cassidy Towner competing in the 5000 meter run Thursday evening. She also set a new personal record with a time of 17:06.29, good for a ninth place finish in her flight.
Asia Smith completed her first career Thursday afternoon. She earned an eighth place finish (out of 15) in her group with 4822 points. She earned four top four finishes: 100m hurdles (2nd; 14.61), shot put (3rd; 39' 1.25"), high jump (4th; 5' 5.25") and long jump (4th; 18' 3").
The rest of the Aztecs were competing at the famed Mt. SAC Relays at El Camino College. Jalyn Harris set a new PR in the 400 meter dash, earning a ninth place finish with a time of 54.49. She also competed in the 200 alongside Lisa-Anne Barrow and they took 13th and 15th respectively.

Callista Fletcher set new personal best times in the 100 (11.93) and 200 meter dashes (24.10).
UP NEXT
Saturday is another busy day for the Aztecs. 16 will be competing at the Beach Invitational while four will race at the Mt. SAC Relays. Ashley Henderson and Rochene Smith, the reigning Mountain West Track Athlete of the Week, will run the 100 meter dash invite and they will join Callista Fletcher and Lisa-Anne Barrow in the 4x100 relay invite.
