SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State women's tennis team is set to close out the regular season at home this Saturday, April 21, against San Jose State. Aztec seniors Jana Buth and Paola Diaz will be honored at 11:45 a.m. and doubles action is scheduled to begin at noon at the Aztec Tennis Center.

The Spartans (11-8, 0-3) travel to America's Finest City after taking two straight conference losses (Fresno State, 4-2, and Nevada, 7-0) last weekend. SJSU also journeyed to the Mesa in the fall when it played in the SDSU Fall Classic I. At the tournament, SJSU's Miyo Kobayashi took home a singles victory in the championship bracket, defeating Jenny Moinard 6-4, 6-3.

SDSU (10-11, 1-2) looks to tally a second Mountain West win in Saturday's match after stumbling against Fresno State, 4-3, on Tuesday in the Central Valley. Despite the team's loss to the Bulldogs, junior Jenny Moinard tallied her eighth straight singles victory to improve her individual record to 17-3 this season.

Last season, the Aztecs traveled to San Jose, Calif., where they were blanked by the Spartans, 7-0, to close the regular season. The Spartans then went on to claim the MW Championship Tournament title in Las Vegas, Nev.

Following this weekend's regular season finale, the Aztecs travel to Boise, Idaho, where they will compete in the MW Tennis Championship, hosted by Boise State. Seeding, to be determined next week, will decide when SDSU is slated to play during the four-day tournament, scheduled for Thursday through Sunday, April 26-29, at the Appleton Tennis Center.
