SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- The San Diego State lacrosse team wrapped up its road trip in style Sunday with a convincing 23-4 victory over Wofford in a non-conference clash at Gibbs Stadium.

The Aztecs set a single-game program record for most goals scored, improving to 7-3 overall, while the Terriers remain winless on the year at 0-6.

SDSU's previous high of 22 goals was first established on March 10, 2014 vs. LIU Brooklyn, before it matched that total earlier this month against Presbyterian on March 5.

Grace McGinty, Harlowe Steele and Kirstie Greenlaw each registered a hat trick to pace the Aztec offense, while Paige Hudak handed out a career-high four assists. In addition to her offensive production, McGinty led all players with five draw controls, while Elizabeth Adams collected three ground balls.

Katy Sharretts and Amanda Stapp each played one half in goal for the Scarlet and Black, combining for six saves.

SDSU exploded out of the gates, racing to a 9-0 lead in the first 14 minutes of the first period, with Morgan Taylor contributing two strikes during that span.

With a 12-3 halftime cushion in place, the Aztecs continued their offensive cornucopia in the second half, outscoring the Terriers 11-1 over the final 30 minutes.

In all, 14 different players found the back of the net for SDSU, which maintained the statistical advantage in shots (35-21) and shots on goal (28-10).

In addition, the Aztec held an edge in draw controls (18-11) and ground balls (17-16) to go with a 4-for-4 performance in free-position shots.
