SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State women’s tennis team is set to make a trip to North County tomorrow afternoon, March 16, where they’ll play a neutral-site match against Dartmouth at the Rancho Santa Fe Tennis Club in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif. First serve against the Big Green is set for 2 p.m.

Dartmouth, currently 6-5 on the season, travels to San Diego County following a two-week hiatus from play after beating Massachusetts, 6-1, in Hanover, N.H., on March 3 to bounce back from dropping a 7-0 decision to Duke the week prior. This is the second straight year Dartmouth has made its way to the west coast to face the Aztecs as just over a year ago, the then-37th-ranked Big Green topped SDSU, 5-2, at the Aztec Tennis Center.

The 7-7 Aztecs were scheduled to play Saint Mary’s last Saturday, March 10, at the ATC, but inclement weather forced the teams to cancel the dual. The five days prior, SDSU notched a strong 4-1 win over Furman to get back to .500 on the season. In its win over the Paladins, SDSU was led by its dominant doubles play as Moinard/Smith and Buth/Diaz both finished off seven-point tiebreaks with wins to set the tone entering singles action.

Following Saturday’s midday dual, the Aztecs return to the ATC on Friday, March 23, when they welcome Cal State Fullerton at 2 p.m.
