SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State women's tennis team makes its second road trip of the season this weekend as it prepares to face Grand Canyon in a neutral site match on Saturday, Feb. 24, then visits the University of Hawai'i Sunday, Feb. 25, at the UH Tennis Complex in Honolulu. Saturday's contest against the Lopes is set for 11 a.m. HT, while first serve at Sunday's match is scheduled for 2 p.m. HT.

The Lopes (4-7) will first play Hawai'i on Friday before taking on the Aztecs Saturday morning. GCU travels to The Aloha State following a five-match losing streak, most recently dropping a 4-3 loss to Utah State at home in Phoenix, Ariz. Saturday's match marks the first dual between the Lopes and the Aztecs since SDSU topped GCU 6-1 in Honolulu during the 2015 season. GCU also visited SDSU in the fall of 2017 for SDSU Fall Classic I.

The Rainbow Wahine (2-2, 1-1 Big West) most recently visited UC Davis where they fell 4-2 to the Aggies. Last season, Hawai'i claimed the doubles point and went on to edge the Aztecs 4-3 at the Aztec Tennis Center. SDSU most recently faced the Rainbow Wahine in a consolation round of the 2017 ITA Southwest Regional in the fall where duo Magda Aubets and Nnena Nadozie topped Klara Pribylova/Nikola Dolakova in doubles, while Hawai'i came out on top in four singles matches.

Last week, the Aztecs split for a tough 5-2 loss to USC on Friday, but bounced back Saturday to claim a 5-2 win over Cal Poly and snap a three-match losing streak. Junior Jenny Moinard's performance last week, with a 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 win over 102nd-ranked Madison Westby (USC) and another singles victory against Caroline Williams of Cal Poly (6-2, 6-4), earned her first career Mountain West Player of the Week award. The Aztecs also enter this weekend's competition claiming the last six doubles points in dual matches, totaling eight for the season.

Following this weekend's duals, SDSU travels to Tempe, Ariz., where they will take on Arizona State on Friday, March 2, at 1:30 p.m. MT.
