Day 3 Results

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The San Diego State swimming and diving finished the third day of competition at the Mountain West Championships on Friday and currently stands in third place (734.5 overall points) heading into the final day of competition at the Palo Alto College Aquatic Center.

The Aztecs started off the individual races on a high note, with McKenna Meyer (4:12.64) and Frida Berggren (4:13.16) posting second and third place times, respectively, in the 400 IM. In the next event, Courtney Vincent reeled in the individual title in the 100 fly, posting a first-place time of 52.89. Vincent's time is good for second-fastest in school history.

Morganne McKennan (1:00.87) and Klara Thormalm (1:00.93) collected second and third place, respectively, in the 100 breast. The times by McKennan and Thormalm are also good for second and third fastest in school history.

SDSU currently trails Nevada by a slim two-point margin, while points leader Boise State currently stands atop the leaderboard with 817. The Aztecs wrap up the MW championships tomorrow, Saturday Feb. 17, with the 1650 free, the 200 back, the 100 free, the 200 breast, the 200 fly, the 400 free relay, and platform diving competition.
