SAN DIEGOââ'¬" The San Diego State women's basketball team will conduct a youth clinic at Viejas Arena on Saturday, Jan. 27 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., prior to its Mountain West game against UNLV later in the afternoon.
The Aztec coaching staff, along with select players, will be on hand to direct the clinic, which is open to boys and girls of all ages.
The cost of the clinic $6, which includes a ticket to the SDSU-UNLV game scheduled to get underway at 1 p.m. To register, please e-mail Aztec director of basketball operations Jon Silver by Wednesday, Jan. 24, at jsilver@mail.sdsu.edu. The first 30 enrollees will receive a free SDSU basketball.
Parents and families of the participants are encouraged to watch the hour-long clinic and then remain for the game. For groups bringing 10 or more people to the clinic/game, a discounted group ticket price of $4 will be available. If tickets have already been purchased, then the clinic is free.
The Aztecs-Lady Rebels clash is part of a much larger celebration of National Girls and Women in Sports Day on the SDSU campus. Between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., fans will be afforded the opportunity to meet and greet student-athletes from several of the Aztecs 12 women's sports team on the Viejas Arena concourse with numerous kid-friendly activities scheduled.
In addition, the SDSU women's basketball team will remain on hand after the game to sign autographs courtside.
Open to any and all entrants, clinic participants and their families are urged to park in Parking Structure 12 located directly across from Viejas Arena on Aztec Circle Drive. Entrance to the clinic can be made through the loading dock of the arena, which will open at 10 a.m.
