• San Diego State won its third straight game dating back to last year.
• The Aztecs won their 10th consecutive game against teams from the Pacific Time Zone. That is the fourth-longest active streak in the nation, trailing TCU (21), LSU (13) and Boise State (11).
• SDSU won its sixth straight game against teams from the state of California. That is San Diego State's longest streak against teams from the Golden State since a six-game stretch in 1976-77.
• The Aztecs won their fourth consecutive season-opening game.
• SDSU won its fourth straight game played during the month of September.
• San Diego State improved to 6-0 in the Division I era against teams that called the Big Sky Conference home at the time of the game.
Season-Opener Note
• San Diego State's fourth straight season-opening win is its longest streak since a five-year stretch from 1993-97.
