SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State swimming and diving team competes in its final meet of 2017, hosting Oregon State for a dual meet at the Aztec Aquaplex beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 30.
The Aztecs most recently defeated Air Force (199-92) and Cal Poly (165-135) in a double dual meet on Dec. 22. The Aztecs have won each of its last 21 dual meets, creating a streak that dates back to Nov. 2015. In addition to last week's wins, SDSU has defeated Pepperdine, UC San Diego, UC Davis, and San Diego in dual meet competitions during the first half of the 2017-18 campaign.
SDSU has competed against Oregon State four times over the past seasons, with the Aztecs finishing on the better side in each of those four meetings. Last year on Nov. 5, 2016, in Corvallis, Ore., SDSU won six of nine individual races, including a trio of first-place finishes by then-freshman McKenna Meyer. Meyer posted a 1:53.35 in the 200 free, a 2:06.72 in the 200 IM, and a 5:07.26 in the 500 free to lead the way for the Aztecs against the Beavers last year.
Following Saturday's event, the Aztecs will host three Mountain West programs in New Mexico, Fresno State, and Colorado State, on Jan. 8 at 10:00 a.m.
