• Rashaad Penny broke 2,000 rushing yards for the season, making SDSU the first team in NCAA FBS history with back-to-back 2,000 rushing yard seasons by different players (Donnel Pumphrey in 2016, Penny in 2017).
• San Diego State became just the second school with a pair of 2,000-yard rushing seasons by two different players (also Texas).
• Rashaad Penny rushed for 203 yards, making him the first FBS player since Tulane's Matt Forte in 2007 with at least 200 yards rushing in four consecutive games. The four straight 200-yard rushing games is tied for the fourth longest streak in NCAA FBS history, one shy of a record held by Marcus Allen (USC, 1981), Barry Sanders (Oklahoma State, 1988) and Jamario Thomas (North Texas, 2004).
• SDSU won its 10th game of the season and now has three consecutive seasons with double-digits in wins for the first time in program history.
• San Diego State now has 10 seasons with at least 10 wins.
• Aztec head coach Rocky Long has now been on the winning sideline of the last 14 times SDSU and New Mexico met (four as San Diego State head coach, two as the Aztec defensive coordinator and eight as the UNM head coach).
• The Aztecs won their 39th straight game when rushing for at least 200 yards and improved to 47-2 in the Rocky Long era when rushing for at least 200 yards.

• Now has 24 touchdowns on the year (T-1st in SDSU single-season history with Marshall Faulk (1993) and Paul Hewitt (1987)) and 48 for his career (3rd in SDSU history).
• Out of his 47 career touchdowns, 33 have been rushing scores, seven kick return, six receiving, and one punt return.
• San Diego State improved to 25-4 over his career when he scores at least one touchdown, 13-0 when he scores multiple times, 19-2 when he rushes for at least one touchdown and 10-0 when he rushes for multiple touchdowns.
