No. 19/21 San Diego State and Toledo have agreed to a home-and-home series in football, starting in 2020, the two schools announced today. The Aztecs and Rockets will play Sept. 12, 2020 in Toledo and Sept. 10, 2022 in San Diego.

The Aztecs are scheduled to play a series with Eastern Michigan (2018 in San Diego, 2019 in Ypsilanti), a home-and-home with UCLA (2019 in Los Angeles, 2020 in San Diego), a series with Brigham Young (2019 in San Diego, 2020 in Provo, Utah), one with Arizona (2021 in Tucson, 2022 in San Diego), a series with Utah (2021 in San Diego, 2022 in Salt Lake City), another with UCLA (2023 in San Diego, 2026 in Los Angeles), a home-and-home with the Beavers (2023 in Corvallis, 2026 in San Diego), one with Washington State (2024 in San Diego, 2025 in Pullman) and a series with Arizona State (2027 in Tempe, 2028 in San Diego).
In 2018, the Aztecs will play the backside of home-and-home series with Arizona State (in San Diego) and Stanford (in Stanford).
Toledo and San Diego State will be meeting for the first time in 2023. All-time against the Mid-American Conference, SDSU is 11-1-1.
This season, Toledo is 3-1 with wins over Elon (47-13), Nevada (37-24) and Tulsa (54-51). The Rockets open Mid-American Conference play against Eastern Michigan on Sat., Oct. 7, with kickoff scheduled for noon on CBS Sports Network.
Off to a 5-0 start for the first time since 1975 (and just the second time in 47 seasons) and after completing a perfect non-conference campaign for the first time since 1981, San Diego State travels to Las Vegas to take on UNLV on Sat., Oct. 7. Kickoff on ESPN2 is set for 7:45 p.m. PT.
