Big Notes
• San Diego State joined Clemson as the only teams in the country this year with at least one win over a Top 25 team, wins over two Power 5 teams and at least one road win at a Power 5 school.
• SDSU won for the 24th time over the last 27 games (24-3). The .889 win percentage over that time (since Oct. 3, 2015) trails only Alabama (28-1; .966) and Clemson (28-2; .933) for the highest winning percentage in FBS play.

Streaks Continued
• SDSU won its fifth straight game dating back to last year, is 11-2 in its last 13 games and 24-3 in its last 27 games.
• The Aztecs have won the last five games in which they have been an underdog (2015 at San Jose State, 2015 vs. Utah State, 2016 vs. Houston, 2017 at Arizona State, 2017 vs. No. 19 Stanford).
• SDSU has won three consecutive games against Pac-12 teams.
• San Diego State has won its last three encounters with teams from Power 5 Conferences.
• The Aztecs won their sixth straight game played during the month of September.

Defeating the "Power 5"
• SDSU has won three consecutive meetings against power conference teams (Power 5, BCS, etc.) for the first time in its Division I era (since 1969).
• San Diego State defeated two power conference teams in a season for the first time since 1981 (won at Oklahoma State (23-16) and vs. Iowa State (52-31)).
• The Aztecs are 3-0 in their last three games against power conference teams after posting a 1-31 record in such games prior to this stretch. The 1-31 stretch started in 2000.
• With three straight wins against teams from power leagues, SDSU improved to 20-74 all-time in such games in its DI era.

Defeating the Pac-12
• SDSU won its third straight game against the Pac-12 and improved to 4-4 in its last eight games against the league.
• The Aztecs have won three consecutive games against Pac-12/10/8 schools for the first time since defeating Oregon State (1972), at Oregon State (1975) and Arizona (1979) in the 1970s.

Defeating the Top 25
• Rocky Long became the first coach in SDSU's Division I era to record two victories over nationally opponents. He owns a 2-5 record in those games while all other Aztec coaches in the Division I era are a combined are 6-57.
• San Diego State defeated a nationally ranked non-conference team for the first time since beating No. 12 Iowa State, Oct. 10, 1981 in San Diego.

Rare Cardinal Loss
• Entering tonight, Stanford had won nine straight non-conference games dating back to a 16-6 loss at Northwestern on Sept. 5, 2015. During the win streak, the Cardinal defeated three nationally ranked teams (4th-ranked Notre Dame, 24th-ranked USC (in a conference championship game thus a non-conference game) and 6th-ranked Iowa).
• Entering tonight, Stanford had won six straight non-conference games against unranked teams (last loss at Northwestern, 16-6, Sept. 5, 2015).

Team Notes
• SDSU only allowed Stanford to control ball for 18:46, its fewest time of possession in a game since at least 1996.
• The Aztecs improved to 55-14 in the Rocky Long era when scoring just 20 or more points.
• SDSU has now gone 29 straight games with one interception or fewer (dates back to Sept. 12, 2015 at California).
• The Aztecs have a 100-yard rusher in 41 of their last 53 games and 51, 100-yard rushers over that span.
• SDSU first trailed against Stanford with 12:38 left in the second quarter, marking the first time San Diego State has trailed this season and the first time since 3:14 left in the third quarter against Houston in the Las Vegas Bowl (155 minutes, 56 seconds in between).
• The Aztecs have outscored the opposition, 54-24, in the first half this year, including a 37-14 advantage in the second quarter.
• SDSU forced Stanford to turn the ball over for the first time since Nov. 5, 2016. The Cardinal had gone six games in between without a turnover.
• San Diego State forced Stanford to turn the ball over multiple times for the first time since Oct. 22, 2016 vs. Colorado when it had four turnovers. The Cardinal had just two turnovers over its previous eight games.

Trends
• SDSU did not start with the ball for just the 10th time over the last 73 games.
• San Diego State lost the coin toss for just the 18th time over the last 41 games.
• The Aztecs have now gone 134 games without suffering a shutout (Nov. 18, 2006 at TCU), which is the third-longest streak among current Mountain West schools (Air Force at 301 and Boise State at 254).
• SDSU held an opponent scoreless on its opening drive for the 22nd time over the last 28 games and 23rd time since 2015 (31 games).
• San Diego State has scored in 26 straight second quarters.
• SDSU improved to 3-0 this year and 42-12 in the Rocky Long era when scoring first.
• The Aztecs improved to 3-0 this year and 39-9 in the Rocky Long era when leading at the half.
• SDSU improved to 3-0 this year and 48-10 in the Rocky Long era when leading after three quarters.

• San Diego State improved to 2-3 all-time against Stanford.
• The Aztecs improved to 2-1 all-time vs. the Cardinal in San Diego.

• It was his first touchdown of the season and fifth of his career.

• Was 2-for-3 on field goals, making from 43 and 36 before missing from 50.
• Had made 25 straight field goals of 50 yards or less, which was a Mountain West record and the longest active streak in FBS play until he missed from 50 in the fourth quarter.

• QB Christian Chapman started for the 19th consecutive game, the longest streak on the team (offense/defense).
• RB/KR Rashaad Penny played in his 44th straight game, the longest streak on the team.
• WR Fred Trevillion earned this first career start.
