COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo - San Diego State placed six players on the 2017 All-Mountain West team and, in addition, captured the conference's Pitcher and Player of the Year Awards.
Senior left-hander Brett Seeburger was named the Mountain West Pitcher of the Year, the first Aztec to earn the honor since Stephen Strasburg in 2009.
Short Danny Sheehan was selected the Tony Gwynn Co-Player of the Year, an award he shared with New Mexico first baseman Jack Zoellner. Sheehan is the first Aztec to earn Mountain West Player of Year honors since the SDSU joined the league in 2000.
Joining Seeburger and Sheehan on the all-conference first team are junior outfielder Tyler Adkison and senior left-hander Dominic Purpura. Second basemen/pitcher Alan Trejo and outfielder/infielder David Hensley were named to the second team.
