COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - San Diego State and Air Force will conclude their three-game weekend series this afternoon at 1:00 p.m. MT at Falcon Field in Colorado Springs.

The Aztecs will be looking to win their 11th (of 12) weekend series of the season. The Falcons won Friday's opener, 9-1, before SDSU rebounded to capture Saturday's contest, 18-11.

Yesterday's win saw San Diego State improve to 35-16 overall and 18-8 in the Mountain West as it edges closer to its third 40-win season in the last four years.

Air Force, meanwhile, saw its overall record drop to 25-23 and its 12-16 mark in conference play dropped it into fifth place in the league standings. Only the top four finishers advance to the Mountain West Tournament his season and the Falcons conclude their 2017 conference schedule with today's game.

Air Force will start right-hander Matt Hargreaves (3-4, 6.79) on the mound for this afternoon's contest where he will be opposed by SDSU senior right-hander Cody Thompson (1-0, 4.47).

In Saturday's win in Colorado Springs, the Aztecs exploded for 21 hits including four apiece by three players. Danny Sheehan led the way with a double and home run among his four hits. He drove in five runs and scored three.

Andrew Martinez, who recorded three doubles, and Chase Calabuig also registered four-hit games. Martinez finished with four RBI while Calabuig drove in a pair and scored four times.

Outfielder David Hensley continues to pace the SDSU hitters with a .379 batting average with Sheehan second at .355.

Individual category leaders include Alan Trejo in hits (72), Martinez and Sheehan in doubles (15), Jordan Verdon in triples (5), and Tyler Adkison in home runs (3) and RBI (47).

Following today's game, the Aztecs will return home to prepare for a mid-week contest against the University of San Diego set for Tuesday, May 16, at 6:00 p.m. PT at Tony Gwynn Stadium.
