The Aztecs (23-14, 7-5 MW), who are currently in a tie for second place in the Mountain West standings with San José State, two games behind Utah State, will play the Broncos at 4 p.m. MT Friday, 4 p.m. MT Saturday and noon PT Sunday.
This weekend's series begins a stretch of nine road games out of the final 12 for SDSU, including series at USU (April 28-30) and Nevada (May 11-13). San Diego State's only home series over its final four weekends is May 5-7 vs. UNLV.
Of the Aztecs' 14 losses this year, four have come against the top 25 (1-4) and nine vs. teams that made the 2016 NCAA tournament (8-9).
SDSU is on pace to break numerous school single-season offensive records, including average (.354), on-base percentage (.412) and slugging percentage (.512). Among the 291 teams in the nation, San Diego State ranks third in batting average, eighth in slugging percentage, 14th in runs per game (6.16) and 16th in on-base percentage.
With enough at-bats to qualify (100), the Aztecs currently have three players with top 10 averages in single-season history including Zaria Meshack (.411, 24 R) at No. 5, Jenavee Peres (.405, 39 R, 12 HR, 41 RBI) at No. 6 and Sydnee Cable (.396, 4 HR, 37 RBI) at No. 8. Katie Byrd (.385, 29 R, 3 HR, 27 RBI), Molly Sturdivant (.369, 7 HR, 30 RBI) and Taylor Stewart (.352) are also hitting over .350 for SDSU.

Peres (player of the week) and Romero (pitcher of the week) each were honored by the MW on Tuesday for their play in the Aztecs' sweep over New Mexico last weekend.
