LAS VEGAS, Nev. - San Diego State and UNLV will conclude their weekend series as they meet for the final time during the regular season this afternoon at 2:05 p.m. PT at Earl E. Wilson Stadium in Las Vegas.

After dropping Thursday night's opener, the Aztecs roared back Friday evening with season highs of 20 runs and 24 hits as they downed the Rebels, 20-6.

With the victory, SDSU improved to 25-11 overall and 12-5 in the Mountain West. UNLV, meanwhile, saw its record fall to 13-24 (7-10 MW).

The Rebels are expected to starter left-hander Garrett Poole (2-3, 5.27) in this afternoon's contest with the Aztecs ready to send senior lefty Dominic Purpura (5-0, 3.06) to the hilltop oppose him.

In Friday's game, eight of SDSU's nine starters recorded base hits led by Alan Trejo and Jordan Verdon with four apiece. Trejo also contributed four RBI and scored three times with Verdon driving in a run and scoring twice.

Dean Nevarez also had three hits with five RBI, stats that included a bases-loaded triple to center field that scored three runs.

Junior right fielder David Hensley had his best night of the season as he drove in four runs with a double and his first home run of the season.

Brett Seeburger tossed five innings in the game and was credited with his seventh win of the year as he continues to lead the Mountain West in that category.

Following today's contest. San Diego State will return home where it will prepare for a non-conference contest on Tuesday, April 18, at UC Riverside. That game is slated to get underway at 6:05 p.m. PT.
