SAN DIEGO - San Diego State and Nevada will play the final game of their three-game weekend series when they meet this afternoon at 1:00 p.m. PT at Tony Gwynn Stadium.

The Aztecs have fared much better this season against the Wolf Pack than a year ago when they lost all eight meetings between the teams. Thus far in 2017, SDSU is 3-2 vs. Nevada with today's game marking the final regular-season contest between the teams.

With yesterday's 3-1 win in 11 innings, the visitors improved to 9-23 overall and 5-9 in the Mountain West. They currently sit in fourth place, tied with UNLV, and two games out of fourth behind San Jose State.

San Diego State enters the day with a record of 22-10 overall and 10-4 in conference play. Yesterday's loss dropped the Aztecs two games behind league leader New Mexico in the loss column. The Lobos were rained out at San Jose State and that game will not be made up.

Nevada will start right-handed pitcher Riley Ohl (2-1, 4.33) this afternoon while the Aztecs will counter with senior right-hander Cody Thompson (1-0, 4.03).

Left fielder Tyler Adkison continues to lead the Aztecs in hitting with a .418 batting average along with seven home runs and 29 runs batted in.

Andrew Brown (.345) tops the squad in hits with 48 while Alan Trejo in the team leader in runs scored (29) and doubles (11).

Following today's contest, San Diego State will take a break from Mountain West action when it hosts UC Irvine on Tuesday (April 11) for a contest slated to begin at 6:00 p.m. at Tony Gwynn Stadium.
