San Diego State stays in San Diego this weekend, competing at the California Collegiate Invitational, hosted by UC San Diego, on Sat., April 1.

SDSU will be competing against athletes from the host Tritons, Cal State San Marcos, George Fox, Cal State Los Angeles, Cal Poly Pomona, Williams, Soka, Biola, USC, Cal Baptist, San Diego, Cal State San Bernadino, Azusa Pacific, Western New Mexico, Providence Christian, Middlebury, Point Loma Nazarene University, and Westmont.

The Scarlet and Black will travel 27 athletes to the meet in La Jolla. Competing in multiple individual events for the Aztecs are Micha Auzenne (100, 200), Lisa-Anne Barrow (100, long jump), Sierra Brabham-Lawrence (100, 100 hurdles), Anushi Desai (javelin, discus), Melody Harris (javelin, shot put), Cali King (800, 1,500), Starlynn Singleton (100, long jump) and Jasmine Young (200, 400). Also slated to compete is Rachel Alesi (discus), Cindy Flores (800), Simone Glenn (400), Lakin Hatcher (400), Andrenette Knight (400), Tyra Lea (400), Freja Liljedahl (hammer), Monique McPherson (1,500), Kira Moreland (long jump), Elaine Ribeiro (3,000 steeplechase), Rochene Smith (200), Hannah Taylor (high jump) and Angela Wilson (800). On tap to compete in the pole vault is Bonnie Draxler, Marissa Berry, Sara Curran, Katherine Magill, Rachel Craft and Taylor Alexander.

The Aztecs kick off the meet at 11 a.m. with the pole vault and shot put. At noon, the high jump, long jump and 3,000-meter steeplechase will take place concurrently. The hammer throw is on tap for 12:30 p.m., while the 1,500 meters is slated for 12:45 p.m, followed by the 400 meters at 1:15 p.m. and the 100-meter hurdles at 1:45 p.m. The discus throw will take place at 2 p.m., the 800 is scheduled for 2:15 p.m. and the triple jump will go at 2:30 p.m. The 100-meter dash will run at 2:45 p.m., while the Aztecs' final track event of the day, the 200 meters, will occur at 3:25 p.m. The javelin throw will conclude SDSU's day at 3:30 p.m.
