LOS ANGELES - San Diego State will wrap up a string of four consecutive road games with a visit to Los Angles to take on USC this evening at 6:00 p.m. PT at the Trojan's Dedeaux Field.
The Trojans enter the day with a record of 14-8 overall and 4-2 in the Pac-12. This past weekend, USC won two of three games against Arizona State in Los Angeles.
The Trojans are expected to start right-hander Mason Perryman (4-2, 1.26) on the mound this evening.
San Diego State will counter with junior right-hander Ray Lambert (0-0, 6.43). The Aztecs used eight hurlers when the teams met in San Diego three weeks ago, a contest that ended in a 1-0 USC victory.
The Aztecs have the current Mountain West Player and Pitcher of the week in outfielder Tyler Adkison and left-hander Brett Seeburger.
Adkison hit .538 over four games last week with a triple, home run, seven walks and seven RBI. Seeburger tossed a one hit shutout over eight innings at Fresno State on Saturday, allowing just an infield single and facing one batter over the minimum in eight innings.
Second baseman Alan Trejo is currently on a 15-game hitting streak during which he is batting .347 (25-for-72) with six doubles, three home runs, 10 RBI and 17 runs scored. He has scored at least once in each of SDSU's last 11 contests and 14 of the last 15.
Third baseman Andrew Brown continues to be one of the Aztecs' most consistent hitters. Over the past 10 games he is hitting .404 (19-for-47) with two doubles, seven RBI and 10 runs scored.
After opening the season with a 3-4 record, San Diego State is 13-4 in its last 17 contests.
Following tonight's contest, the Aztecs will return home to prepare for a three-game Mountain West series against San Jose State this coming weekend. That set gets underway on Friday, March 31, with a game at 6:00 p.m. PT at Tony Gwynn Stadium.
