RENO, Nev. - San Diego State will play game two of its three-game series at Nevada today with first pitch set for 1:00 p.m. at Peccole Park in Reno, Nev.

The Aztecs will look to build on the momentum of Friday's 7-2 victory over the Wolf Pack that got their 2017 Mountain West season off to a perfect start.

Nevada enters today's action with a record of 3-10 overall and 1-3 in conference play. The Wolf Pack is expected to start right-hander Mark Novaczewski (0-1, 4.34) on the mound this afternoon in a effort to even the series.

San Diego State's record stands at 9-5 (1-0 MW) entering this afternoon's contest. The Aztecs will start senior left-hander Dominic Purpura (2-0, 4.15).

On Friday the SDSU pounded out 13 hits including home runs by Andrew Martinez and Jordan Verdon, their second and first of the year respectively.

It was one of three hits on the day for Martinez, who leads the team in hitting with a .383 average.

Second baseman Alan Trejo also collected three hits on Friday to raise his season average to .313.

San Diego state and Nevada will wrap up their weekend series on Sunday (March 10) with a game set to get underway at noon PT at Peccole Park.
